Sean and Amy Harris
Dr. Amy Harris is a Tomball native who grew up a few miles from RISE Gym. After injuries in her ballet training required physical therapy, she found a passion for helping others and decided to pursue it as a career. Amy earned her Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from the University of Texas at Austin graduating in 2012. She went on to earn her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Texas Woman’s University in 2015. It was during this time that she met her now husband, Sean. For the past 4 1/2 years she has been working as a pediatric physical therapist providing therapy to children of all ages with neurological, genetic, and developmental conditions. It is this experience that led to a deeper appreciation for the importance of health and fitness across the lifespan.
Dr. Sean Harris worked as a personal trainer for 5 years while receiving his undergraduate education at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he also played 2 seasons of Rugby. Sean graduated with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University in 2015. He then went on to complete a Residency program specializing in Orthopedic Physical Therapy in 2016. Following graduation from Residency, he went on to receive his Fellowship from the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Therapy.
